During a student led discussion about well-being and combating tiredness in the studio, our students were trying to generate ideas to increase energy and focus first thing in the morning. Water was a big one, and currently on our campus there are no water facilities on our floor.
We brainstormed ideas for solving this issue and one of the ideas was to have a class-set of drink bottles. It would mean the drink bottles could stay in the studio no carrying them around all day. In order to fill the bottles students need to walk up a flight of stairs and the length of the building, which we inferred would also be excellent for increasing movement and energy. To further this idea, a creative practice around designing imagery for the bottles was proposed (to increase the relevance and also to tell the bottles apart). This idea was super well received.
We approached SafeBottles because of the wide range of imagery already available through their online store, as well as the environmentally friendly materials they are made from.
SafeBottles were fantastic, and they sent us 50 bottles to run the creative practise as a sponsored competition.
Students now keep their personally designed SafeBottles full next to their work-stations in the studio, keeping everyone hydrated and helping to improve any slow creative mornings.
